Guardian Bypass to be LDAP linked to group of accounts
At the moment we've got an additional administrative user set up on our Smoothwall (unblock) and a password that we change on a monthly basis and write up in the staff room. Staff inevitably forget the password, type it in view of kids, talk about it...
It would be useful if we could map a Smoothwall group to have permission to Guardian Bypass and they could then use their domain accounts; e.g. Staff mapping, allow guardian bypass, and then instead of the fixed username/password they could just type staffjbloggs and their own password to unblock.
Might encourage them to take more care of their passwords in general as well. Might.

Similar feature request which may scale better for teachers in a classroom. Access from the User Portal, which is already AD/Directory integrated:

I would add that this could be AD linked as well and not just be limited to Guardian ByPass but any of the Administrative controls that you can allocate to the Administrative user - or a large selection of them. Our customer who wants this sees it as an issue having to maintain two 'databases' of users when he is trying to minimise this to the one database to be maintainted.
