IT would be good to be able to put in a rule "allow X in location Y until 5pm" - especiually via the portal. Could eventually replace the hacky "temp ban" group mangle?
Edit: this is specifically "rules which expire, and then go away" so "allow this site until 17:00 on the 12th of July 2010"

Maybe another way to achieve the same result - Please upvote is you think this would be useful: http://smoothwall.uservoice.com/forums/145832-smoothwall/suggestions/9679359-overblocking-remedy-temporary-bypass-code
This would be a great feature for us, being able to create a policy that expires on a certain date would save us having to delete or disable a policy when it is no longer required.

Temporary rules is mean't that they are applied for one specific time on a certain date then expire.
We currently have a way to temporarily ban a user but expanding on this to include policies is quite a good idea...
I have added my vote to it.

Can be done at the moment with G3, surely? With a few locations set up already and the relevant time periods for our timetable, we have created a list called Special Time Allow that we add any requested sites to and then apply with a new Guardian rule to a specific room for specific periods. Admittedly it requires a request through IT Support but it's fairly straightforward.
